The Board of Directors of the United Kingdom Lubricants Association appoint NIMAC Managing Director Nigel McDonald as the UKLA Vice President and Honorary Treasurer.

REACH is a EU regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals, which came into force on 1st June 2007 to streamline and improve a number of European Directives and Regulations and place a greater onus on the industry to manage the risks that chemicals may pose to human health and the environment.
